Profile:

Kameron Smith is from Poquoson, Virginia and is a current freshman at Georgia Tech. She is pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering and is part of the International Plan (IP) and Co-op programs at Tech. Kameron plans to take the foreign designation for the IP program. Her passion for German began while she lived in Stuttgart Germany from '97 to 2000. So she wishes to continue to expand her German language skills here at Georgia Tech. This summer she will travel through Germany and taking different courses as part of the German LBAT program. Kameron is excited about traveling around Germany once again, and hopes that this opportunity will allow her to make practical use of her German skills in the future.

During the fall semester, Kameron will begin working as a co-op student for a local Atlanta company, Prime Engineering. She believes that studying abroad in Germany would be an ideal opportunity to experience the differences between engineering in the United States and in Germany. Kameron plans to work abroad at some point as well. She believes that the International Plan and the Co-op program will enable the perfect mix to gain knowledge of Civil Engineering in a more international context.
